I'm going to start a strip pieced banner using the selvage of every fabric I use from now on. Maybe 12". This will be a visual journal and look very interesting, when I finally organize my studio. Of course this idea is inspired by Chele, who taught me to look at the WOF!!

Selvages I understand, though I'm not sure what you're planning to do?

I rather like this idea. Maybe 18-24 inches though. Then it would make a great backing for a table topper to make it reversible. That would be a really fun table topper if you had a little party with quilting friends!!!

One of the ladies in my guild recovered her sewing chair with fabric she made from selvedges. It was amazing. You can check it out at:

Are you planning to add as you go, or organize them in some way? (I like the chair!)

So you cut 12 inches off of the selvege end? I like this idea but 12 inches seems like I would need to buy extra fabric to account for the 12 inches. I am confused.
