    no, I think she means the banner will be 12" long.

    I have not bought fabric in a while until recently and am amazed at how wide they are making selvages these days. What is the point of a 1" wide selveage except to make us buy more fabric because we are not getting what we pay for.

    Selvedge strips are useful for all sorts of projects. I never throw them out.

    My ideas- a 12-14 " x 1 1/2 " with the fabric name & colors, strip pieced on a piece of thin muslin, in order of us. I visual diary. ending up several feet long. A banner. Once an art teacher, forever...

    I saw this on some site yesterday. They made a log cabin block from the selvage. It was cute.
