I use Aurifil, Prescencia, Mettler, King Tut and Wonderfil. Machines can't be picky, they're machines. If you're having problems with a thread it means you don't have the needle and tension combination right.

Aurifil is my favorite and a spool seems to last forever. I buy various light colors of the 50wt for piecing and have just recently tried the 40wt for machine quilting. I recently bought a couple spools of Connecting Threads. I haven't found it to be terribly linty or anything and they do have oodles of beautiful colors. I sew on a Juki and several old Singers and none of them complain about either of these threads! I have also used Prescensia (sp?) and I like it just fine too!

Mine will sew with anything I throw at it. I have all kinds of thread. Couldn't even begin to tell you brands. Lots of it is ancient as well from a yard sale. Doesn't matter. Have never bought thread online, though. Haven't needed to.

I use Masterpiece by Superior Threads for piecing. I use Connecting Threads Essentials if I am making a bag and want to do topstitching to match and I primarily use King Tut for larm.

I bought a lot of large spools of Signature thread for 1/2 off and it works great in my Pfaff, Brother and LA machine. I just ordered a few spools of LA thread from Connecting Threads to see if they would work in my LA and they work great. I will be ordering more. I seem to mainly use beiges or off-whites or tans.

I use Mettler that I have lots of spools of, but as I buy new thread, I have been buying Aurifil and Presencia threads.

I used to use Gutterman, but I tried Aurifil and it is now one of my favorites. My other favorite is Essential from Connecting Threads. They both seem to last forever.

I love Aurifil because it's thin and strong and it seems I can get twice as much thread on a bobbin as I can with other threads which means I can sew longer!
