    Default New "toy"

Well, hubby was wonderful! A couple of weeks ago, we went to the "big city" ( about 70 miles from here) and had to do some shopping...you know, Academy,Sam's, Hobby Lobby, Hancocks, Lowes, Home depot, etc! Well, I was looking for a particular piece of fabric...so we went to the afore mentioned and then to a couple of the quilt shops there. Hubby was wanting me to buy a macine to fit the recently purchased B-Line frame with table and cruise control. Well, we had to go to the Brother/Baby Lock/ Phaff dealer...and wouldn't you know it, I left the machine numbers at home. Well DH got to looking around and noticed that the shop was haviing a sale on floor models and asked how much on a "set-up". When the lady went to check prices, I was raising eyebrows and saying..."In my dreams!" She came back with a price that DH said, "we can do this, and I think you need to...no argument!" Well, I am not totally stupid!
I am now a proud owner of a Phaff 18.8 Grand Quilter machine and a Grace Frame ( 4'-10'). It ended up less that half price from list, with full warranty and classes...was this a good decision or what?

I still have not gotten everythign set up to "play" with since I have been so busy with quilts for customers and for items for an upcoming craft bazaar.

Would just like to hear from quilter's with this machine and some pointers!

    Thanks and Hugs, Drue

Did you go to Tyler to Sharman's for your machine? They are the greatest. I live outside of Kilgore and go to Sharman's in Longview all the time. They have a great monthly sewing club and are the best for customer service. I went to high school and graduated from Grapeland HS.
