Default Aurifil vs. MasterPiece 3-ply: Opinions?

Have you tried both threads? Do you like one more than the other?

Masterpiece is by Superior which makes Bottom Line, King Tut, silk and other threads. https://www.superiorthreads.com/ The website has articles and videos. Aurifil is made in Italy and is cotton mako thread or poly.

For those of you who have used both, how do they compare? I like Aurifil 50wt 2-ply but have never used Masterpiece. Since Masterpiece is 3-ply, is it 60wt? Just wondering if it is thicker. If it is about the same thickness as Aurifil, I would think that the 3-ply would make Masterpiece stronger. Also wondering about lint. Aurifil is very low lint cotton thread. Isn't Masterpiece polyester?

Aurifil is my favorite, especially because it's thin (but strong) and a bobbin of it lasts much longer!
