I put a new blade in my rotary cutter about a month or two ago. The cutting was difficult and tedious so I thought that I may have put an old blade (dull) on it tho it had come out of the package. Today, I was going to change that darn blade and when I took it off of the cutter.....I noticed that it was actually TWO blades!

Silly me! I guess I did not pay much attention when I put it on the last time and the oil had kept both blades adhered to each other. After a silly giggle, I separated the blades and now I am happily cutting away without the fatiguing myself! lesson learned!

They do stick together and it's hard to rub them apart. Yes, I have to rub them back and forth to get them apart. They are so oily!!!

Be careful when rubbing the oil off the blades. That's an accident waiting to happen!

I'm careful. I just must have thought that it was my last blade and put in on the cutter. I guess I forgot to rub the blade to see if there were more than the "one". Lesson learned. glad to know that others may have done this too.

It's easy enough to do as slick as they are.

One more thing to check when your blade won't cut well is your screw. If it is too tight, it causes so much resistence that it takes too much effort to cut and a too loose blade doesn't cut straight either. Your blade should roll smoothly without sticking. grabbing or wobbling.
