To BE Or Not To BE Newbie
I have been wanting to post this question. Thought I wiould save it for my 1000 post. How long can I consider myself a Newbie? I am amazed at how much I have learned from this board. All the encourgment from everyone is great. Thanks to all you "friends."

I started as a 4-patch charity quilter who didn't know how to do a binding, and over the course of 10 years I have gradually added to my skills (at my own pace). I am still a beginner, but now I consider myself a "confident beginner". That means I have enough knowledge to usually know when I have messed up, but still have the confidence to carefully plunge ahead in new areas.
My goal is to get past "confident beginner" and make it to "advanced beginner." The journey is so much fun!

Started quilting in 1977. Would like to say I'm an advanced quilter, but nothing could be further from the truth. Don't think my skills will ever advance past intermediate. I do the best I'm capable of and enjoy the process.
