Default Not sure how to quilt this

I finished my 3rd quilt top today, it is a Bargello based on a pattern I found on line. It will be a wall hanging above the patio doors in my living room. I am finding the combination of the fabrics and the pattern too organic for straight lines. Does this mean I am going to have to learn to FMQ? When doing a meander, do you disregard the fabric patterns and just concentrate on the meander? This is all new to me.

BTW - This top was completely stitched on my Singer 15-88 treadle. What a whole lot of fun that was!

Very lovely - love the colors! I'd concentrate on the FMQ so the pattern is fairly consecutive... like the pattern of the quilt in another light... It'd be very pretty meandering.

You can use your walking foot to do lines down the pattern. If you decide to FMQ, meandering is one of the harder patterns to start with. I recommend a loop de loop instead.

Very pretty. Love the colors. Afraid I can't offer quilting suggestions.

you could use a walking foot and go diagonally thru each color, like this sample.

I mostly do FMQ, large stipple or whatever strikes my fancy. I am never worried about what I do, I just move my hands. I do like most of my quilting.

Nice quilt. Treadling is so fun! I like to think of it as dual purpose...sewing and exercise, you surely burn more calories treadling than pushing a pedal.

I'd do this but not use straight lines--instead gentle curves that mimic the bargello curves.
