From what I understand, kaleidoscope and stack and whack are interchangable. The only difference from the OBW is that the OBW is a quilt done entirely in one fabric. The stack and whack the "squares" are made with one fabric, but you usually set them in a background fabric. At least I did. However, the squares come out the same as OBW, so I suppose you could make a stack and whack entirely out of one fabric too....hmmm.
I think they are all the same techniques with different names.

I think of a kaleidescope quilts more like Paula Nadlestern makes. Each piece is cut out individually. I have taken several of her classes they are wonderful. It takes a lot of time. But I am anxious to try stack and whack and OBW.
