A couple weeks ago someone posted a miniature quilt they had a made. I went to Amazon to check on the book it was in. After looking at some of the other miniature quilts, I decided to purchase the book, which was due for release in two days. I received the book by the end of that week. I shared it with another club at the next UFO and she purchased it as well. We liked almost every quilt in the book. I cannot help it, I love books.

Oh, me too........there should be a place for us like AA.....I look at what I've accumulated and think why? I was just in my cave yesterday, attacking the fabric mess....found fabric I don't remember buying...hmmm, evil twin at it again!

I order only if I feel I will make use of the tool and/or book/pattern. As someone else mentioned I have way too many of everything to be able to use it in my lifetime.

I put the suggested book in my Amazon wishlist, then open up the website for my local library and suggest a purchase. I keep the book in my wishlist so I remember to check the library from time to time.

If I'm looking for something in particular, I'll search here and go with majority recommendations. Not books -- I have a local library with lots of titles, but the internet is more than fine with me. I do read almost every new main thread, though.

I have more patterns, books and templates than I could ever use in my lifetime. Starting to re-think my buying of these items. Probably need to get rid of some, but then what if I need it???

I am on this awesome board daily... it's my morning routine with a cup of coffee. I enjoy the knowledgeable and helpful members, their experiences and suggestions of tools, patterns and resources. Now that I have been quilting for about 4 years, I feel I have all of the necessary tools to help me with the types of quilts I make. However, if I am at a quilt show and see a ruler or tool that someone has suggested, I am guilty of making a few purchases...

I love this board and all its members suggestions and do buy occasionally, but I have to stop. I am running out of room LOL I just rearranged my sewing room and had to put the two bookcases (one with books) in the Master in order to accommodate another table for a second sewing machine, in addition to my Tiara. My space is only 11' x 10' 9" so it is tight. One bookcase, 30" x 7' is entirely books and printed patterns. I went through them prior to the move and eliminated the ones I am no longer interested in, but I won't live long enough to make 1/100th. With all the projects I have put together (PIGS) I better start sewing faster too. Too many ideas and not enough time.
