    For those of you made these, how big is the middle section? I'm going to start Jan 1 and make several for Christmas presents for next year.

    Have you considered doing a hexagon one? I think they are much easier...IMHO :) Here's a tute for a hexagon topper that is so quick and easy: http://lovelaughquilt.blogspot.com/2...y-hexagon.html

    I made a Christmas one for my SIL and it took me about half an hour.

    The link to the hex is nice. I love the ones Riversong does too. Actually hers look easier to me but since I still haven't done one I don't know :D
