Cande, I hope this does not discourage you from making this quilt. And thanks for bringing this great pattern to our attention. It's easy but looks complicated. I love it when that happens.

Once I got it through my thick head that I had to put the blocks together going down and not across, it worked out fine. It's a fun pattern and goes together quickly. Thanks to everyone for the encouraging words.

Cande: I put my blocks together going across the row. It went together perfectly. I did not understand you putting the blocks together going "down." Maybe I did it incorrectly, but i turned out great. You just position the rail fence blocks in difference directions in order to make the "frame" around the focus fabric block.
