I hate it when that happens! Usually it's not too far into the process as my machine makes a different sound when the bobbin is empty. No other warnings, just a different tone. So I usually make it through several pieces before I notice as I normally have the TV on for 'noise' while I'm doing anything.

That happens to me more times than I want to think about! Annoying, isn't it. Especially if it was a diagonal seam or something that you really tried hard to match up.

No, they aren't -- this feature is on my machine -- I have the new 830. Someone offered the suggestion (in another post) to use two bobbins -- one in the bobbin case and one on top. They would both use the same amount of thread so you would know when the bobbin is running out. That was a really clever idea!

I can hear my bobbin rattling when it is near the end as long as I am not speeding.
I do have one machine which tells you when it is running out I wish all machines had this very very very useful feature.
Are you listening manufacturers.

Oh, I feel your pain! I do the same thing. I love my machine, but sure could use a bobbin reminder. I try to remember to watch the stitches, but it's easy to get carried away and just sew. Taking a break is good. At least you will have a full. Bobbin for a while now.
