    I'm so smitten by the beauty of those old sweethearts, but I'm wondering how often a Featherweight needs to be oiled to keep her in good condition. What's recommended?

    $55 and a three hour drive one way and I feel like a expert...We were shown how to de-grease and reoil our machines. Your machine will tell you by how it sounds. If you have the manual it really goes into detail on how to do it and where. I just wanted to have someone who knew what they were doing show me the first time. I'm a new owner.Just had our 1st anniversary...YEAH...

    I just got my FW and have not had to oil yet. The man I got it from says they do not need to be oiled often, so I guess I'll just listen and it will tell me.

    I oil mine after about 12 hrs of sewing. Makes a world of difference.
