After pushing thru some devastating family issues, i took all of your advise today and made myself sit in my new sewing room and told myself i couldn't leave until i made Something!! So i made 2 little skirts for my GD and a tote bag for her Mom. You all were right! Making something for someone else is the best therapy for sadness and getting over what you cannot change! So THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the encouragement and helpful hints this week!! I am now going to get back in there and start the charity baby quilts that have been waiting. You all are the BEST!!!!!

I have found that sewing can be excellent "therapy". I can easily lose myself in a project, and leave off the worrying for another time!! :-) Glad you are doing better.

Cool projects - and seeing your granddaughter in those adorable skirts will just pump you up even more. Way to go! Keep it up. :)

I don't know the back story, and am glad that retreating to your sewing room has been good therapy!

Now march back in there for some more therapy and this time, you need to make something that's JUST FOR YOU !!!

Then you can go ahead with other projects such as the charity quilts you mentioned. Too often we forget to take care of #1 ... ourselves!

So, please do! :)
