I don't know about other areas, but the Sears here is seriously lacking in customer service. On the other hand the dealer I got my Janome from isn't high on my list right now either.

My favorite machine is a two year old Kenmore. I can sew in the living room without bothering anyone. :) I have other machines and I could buy "better" but I'm happy as is.

The only fact which would cause me to buy another machine: a bigger throat. And, if I do that, I might as well wait for a longarm. lol

You'll also find similar specs and same factory builds in cell phones.
