I really like orange now. I hated it before I made an orange and white quilt for my daughter. Since then I made another orange and white appliqué. Then I tried using the same color thru out several quilts, purple, green and brown. It really makes you concentrate on shading and they turn out great. Just think monochromatic. P.S. purple WAS my favorite color.

Do you have a color that you just HAVE to use?

Oh, here is the top. I just finished it....and I REALLY like it. Can't go wrong with purple.

I am really curious how you post a picture with your first message. When I log in to post a message, there is never an option for posting a photo with it. Later on in the thread, there is an option. Is it just my account or am I missing something?

Dina, your quilt is beautiful and if you like purple, then use it! I love blue and usually use it when I have options. The girls in my group always say "You're using blue? What a surprise!" It's what I enjoy.

My favorite color is what I call tinkerbell green unfortunately it does not go with a lot. I am not a purple fan but the quilts I have seen on here have been absolutely beautiful including yours. ,!

It's beautiful! I love purple (don't always have to have it) and it always looks nice to me. My girls and my DIL love purple so I actually use it a lot.

this is beautiful. I really like how you used just the one color in the different shades.
