I'm with you for me it's purple too. My favorite color in any shade of it. Everyone in our quilting group about10 of us - if we do a challenge quilt or anything that we exchange scraps or blocks, they know which one color I'm going after if there is any purple in the place. They are usually so nice about it and pick out the purples and hand them to me. I do use other colors for quilts but for the ones I keep, they must have purple. I wear a lot of it as well. My students when I was teaching knew my favorite color and would usually give me something purple for a gift. It's just the right color I think, lol.BTW your quilt is beautiful!

Love your quilt. Purple is my color, too, but I wouldn't have as many lighter colors in my stash.

I would think strip piecing would be the way to go. I haven't seen any instructions, but I would think that the quarters of the quilt would be made like a bargello.

Your quilt is lovely. I personally like white in my quilts. I can add any color but I like a great deal of white. When I say white, I don't mean cream or beige, taupe or latte. I am finishing up a Courthouse Steps with batiks and there is no white at all, and I do like the quilt, but I much prefer the other quilt I am finishing that has mostly white with many brights.
