I love my treadle, too...my great grandma actually had an electric motor added to it, too...when I say I love it, I mean I love the memories I have of "Ma" and "Nanny" sewing while I was visiting, and their patience with me...I also love how it looks... :-) ...I just recently figured out that it may be nice to actually use it... ... after seeing so many on here sew with theirs!! So, dh is in process of cleaning it all up for me, and I can't wait to give her a whirl!!... Congrats on yours!!

http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-155695-1.htm this is a video on cleaning and oiling a vintage machine. If you can find a manual it will have info pertinent to your particular machine. Muv is one of our board members and has 9 videos on Utube - see the top of the video for other videos she has done. She also has a link to her website under her posts on here. Down a ways on the above link is her post.

I printed out the list from Singer for the serial numbers starting with AB a while back if anyone would want it.

I have a treadle and I just researched my serial number online. I was able to locate the year it was made and information from Singer on the development of that brand for that make and model for that year.
