Well, it looks like it was commissioned in 1920, but since
Singer has removed the beautifully functional lookup for serial numbers, I can't tell you what it is.

If you post pictures, someone will be able to tell you. :)

OH WOW I'd say he is a DHx100!!! What a sweet present. I know nothing about older Singers but good luck on your research!!!
