This is an organization in a near by town that send monthly packages to soilders, alot of them go to the hospital in Germany. Their monthly postage bill is $1500.00.
They had their first auction tonight that was a great success. My friend and I each donated an item, mine was a quilt that was in the live auction, it only went for $90.00, but that is OK. Next year I will make a larger one and make it in red white and blue instead of the gold I used this year. I did not know about the auction when I made the quilt or it would have been different.
I bid in the silent auction and won 2 items, both will be gifts. One is a Build-a-bear for my grandson, paid $14.
I am doing their craft fair in a week and donating 20% of my sales to the organization.

Good for you! That is okay about your quilt only getting $90, it went to a good cause.

Would love to see a pic of the quilt if you have one

How thoughtful of you to donate the quilt for the auction and proceeds from your upcoming sale

The military sends at no cost overseas for military personel. Check with local or as close to local as you can for them to ship. We donate to the AF wives here and then they ship it.
