Default opinions/ideas for jelly roll of batiks

About a year and a half ago I won a drawing for a gift certificate at a fabric store in a neighboring town and I picked a jelly roll of very bright, kinda tropical batik fabrics. I really love the colors...but I'm am having a difficult time deciding what to do with them. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a pattern that they like for batiks and/or jelly roll strips. I would appreciate any input! Thanks.

I haven't made this one yet, but it's on my list. I like that you could make it with just one jelly roll.

Also, remember you can cut the strips just like you would any other fabric-- you don't just have to use them as strips. I've used the EZ jelly roll ruler and also the EZ flying geese ruler to make half square triangles and Flying geese using jelly roll strips and then used those with other fabrics in various quilts. The most recent one I did that way was a Jacob's ladder quilt.

You can also make strip sets with them and then cut those into squares, half square triangles, etc.

Urban cabin and Phoebe's Flower Box look great in batiks. Also, the log cabin in my avatar is done from batik strips.

I love Boxed Squares. I have made this pattern 12 times. It is very easy and can be impressive when a lot of colors are used.

Look at the second quilt and you will see the Trade Winds quilt I made with a tropical batik jelly roll.

I'm not sure the free pattern is still available.

I made the Bento Block using a jelly roll of bright batiks. It really came out nice.

I agree with Rob and envision you adding a white or black solid to your batiks to create something that really pops(especially with the black). Can't wait to see it!

I have made a couple of Jelly Roll Race quilts with a jelly roll of batiks and they turned out very colorful.

This quilt was fun to make:

But you really need a design wall to get the layout correct.

Another is a strip tube free pattern from Cozy Quilt Design for Hoffman Fabrics called Margarita Sunrise. Not available any more on Hoffman's website but found the free pattern here:
