I just saw a purse that looks like yours on a blog. It was made from a tweed skirt that had pleats! Really cool! Love what you have done with yours!

Thanks everyone! I am really liking the wrist/Velcro idea. I think I'll work on that and see how it goes as my original idea was to hang from handle.

I like the second placement better - because I think the weight (even if only a few ounces) would be distributed better.

I like it in the middle, but I would put it inside the purse. You would only need to tack it in a few places and the stitching wouldn't even show. By the way, nice purse and like your colors, too.

It looks great either way. I love Debbie Shore's free youtube videos also. I especially like her since I saw one day she was showing that she sews barefoot. What other way is there I ask?

I wouldn't do velcro. I would use a button or something. Velcro gets so gross after a while.

I like the top photo of the pocket to the side. Hate having to dig for the phone. Cute purse.

I like the position in the side by the strap. Sewing through all the layers would make a very strong and secure attachment.

Yes, Velcro picks up a lot of stuff until it doesn't even work anymore. But I just take a pin and clean it out. Then it works fine again. It is so wonderful, I'm willing to work to keep it working.

Those stitches inside are inconsequential. No one but you will ever seen them. Incidentally, that is a great purse. Love the color combo.
