Default Opinions on Purse

This is a purse I made combining, and enlarging Debbie Shore's reversible bag with another free pattern I found online.
Of course, after I get it made, I decide I wanted a pocket for my cell phone on the exterior of purse. I had intentions of securing it somehow to the strap, but decided it was too heavy. So, I placed it in a couple different positions, but honestly just am not feeling it.
I would of course have the stitching showing in my lining, which kinda/sorta bothers me....so I don't know. What do you all think?
Should I just leave it alone?

I like either of the placements...but maybe the first one the best. maybe you can add another pocket inside at the exact same place to hide the stitches on the lining.

What if you hand stitched it to the purse about 1/4 inch inside the seam on the back side, catching the fabric on the face of the purse but not going thru the lining? Like if you fold the edge on the cell phone pocket just a little, the width of the seam allowance, and whipped it down, the stitches could never show. Alternately, what about using decorative buttons or even rivets?

I like the phone pocket at the top, the first option. Who cares if the stitching shows on the inside--go for the functionality of the phone pocket. Otherwise you will be constantly digging around for it, grow to hate the bag and not use it!!!

Pretty bag. Either placement I think would be good. How many times do you look at the lining in your purse? I agree with Jeanne S. BrendaK

Beautiful colours and bag. If it was me I would hand stitch in the first position, using double thread and making sure my stitches don't show on the back.

is there enough depth to the bag that you could put it on one of the sides?

I think I would put a wrist strap on the cell-phone carrier with a velcro closure. That way you could hang it from the straps of the purse or take it off and carry it with you when you're not using the purse.
