    Default Paper piecing Dear Jane

    hi,

i'm a newbie at this forum.
    I registered because I have a question.
Recently I've discovered paper piecing and I love it.
The problem with my Dear Jane is: How do I split a baby Jane in sections? Are there any 'rules'?
I have the book, but paper piecing is not mentioned in it...

Is there anyone who can help me?

I'm from Holland, so my englisch is not very great...sorry

    Annemarie

Welcome to the board! The above link is to a thread that kluedesigns posted here in April of 2009. She does an excellent job of showing how to paper piece the Dear Jane Block. And your English is just fine!

The DJ quilting software is great! You can print out paper piecing patterns for all the blocks and triangles.

Hi Annemarie. There is a link on that site for paperpiecing by the Thimbleberries people. I do it all the time and never have to rip off paper! Good luck!!

why not go to the Dear Jane website and check out the archives? YES, most of the DJ blocks can and are paper pieced....that is why there is a CD for them!

Hello and Welcome to the board ! You will love it here

The book is nice as a reference for the pics but I think the CD is a better bet- lets you print out all the patterns

If you look on the "Dear Jane" site by Brenda Papadakis, she has directions for each block. She says that her directions are the easiest way to make each block, and that she has researched that. I'm not sure that is really true, but it is a starting point. Her site has lots of information about making this quilt. The best part is that it is free. Welcome to the board, and your English is perfect.
