paper piecing question

I finally finished up my hunter star pieces. Now it's time to sew them together. Do you true up your "triangle" pieces before you sew them together?
Still aiming to finish this for Christmas! haha
Thanks!

If you do square up your block, be careful to leave the 1/4-inch seam where any points are so that they don't get chopped off when joining the blocks together.

I always have extra fabric hanging over my seam allowances. So I trim them them up while the paper is still on them. I first try to sew them together with the paper still on. That keeps all of the bias playing nice. Some patterns this just did not work well, so I removed only the paper in the seam lines, so the block is still stable. But remember...I do not always follow the rules, I can be a rebel  :D:D:D

I generally do cut on the outer lines...yes...you should. Then you can work on getting the pieces together. I pin in the outer corners (straight through on both pieces)...then I make sure the pins stand straight while I pin carefully ON the line. I walk the blocks off the pins as I am sewing directly on the line. They should match up exactly....clear as mud???

working perfectly except my wrist hurts! from pushing the ruler down. I think I know what i'm buying myself for Christmas. I would LOVE to have the handle with the suction cups.
Just looked it up. It's only $4.50! I'm getting it before Christmas!!!
I think i'm gonna take 1 advil and 1 tylenol. One for inflammation and one for pain.
I think I got about half done and I did close to 360 blocks.
