If you have paper pieced them it shouldn't need to be squared up, though there are always exceptions. Did you take the paper out before sewing the blocks together? If so, the act of removing the paper may have stretched some of your blocks and if that is the case, I would spritz with water and iron them carefully back into shape and once there, I would spray starch them.

If you do square up your block, be careful to leave the 1/4-inch seam where any points are so that they don't get chopped off when joining the blocks together.
