    Default Rowenta fire - update

Just a short update on my Rowenta that burst into flames while I was using it. I have received the prepaid shipping label from Rowenta and will be sending it to them shortly, however, I'm taking the advice of some of you and I'm taking the iron to the Fire Department first, so they can document the iron and this situation. Hope to get it mailed off in a week or so. Just dropped a short note to the lady with the cord fire.........hope she is o.k. And, again, thanks for all the support regarding this matter - I'll keep you up-dated.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm looking for a new travel iron to replace mine.

Thanks for posting the update - I've been thinking about you and wondered how things are working out. Please let us know what Rowenta says.

I had one explode. Took it back and got another one -stupid me. Made me nervous so I took that one back too. The clerk told me that they noticed on the ones that were returned had the wrong voltage selected. Still not taking a chance with the ROwenta.

I appreciate the time you took to warn us of hazards in the sewing room. I now unplug my irons when I leave the room.
