    How great would it be to make a patchwork map of the US, to celebrate our diversity and regional styles? I think this would be a great school, home school, or club project. If you made a pattern, I'm sure board members would send a swatch to represent their state. Kids could write thank yous, etc. Has someone done this already? Always a teacher, Dotty

    this is a cool site for maps of USA and can print them individually and connect to make a USA map

    Do you know if the maps are to scale relative to the USA map? The more I think about this idea, the more I love it for my classroom. I'm going to bookmark the map site and start making patterns.

    I would just go and buy one of the big USA plastic maps and cut out each of the states and then use it for a pattern and could put magnets on back of each state for a puzzel
    and make the states with different fabrics
