Just wondering how many of you use sharpies to write out your quilt labels?
What are the pros and cons? Are the fabric pens better? or are they just the same thing on a more expensive scale?

the con is bleeding- you get *fuzzy edges* the lines are not crisp on fabric-also the ink is not acid free- archival quality.
micron pigma pens do not bleed- nice clear lines-are acid free- archival quality

thanks glad that I asked before I used them! I have a pigma pen, but my hubby "borrowed" it and I haven't been able to find it. Thought hey I have some sharpies, why not! Good excuse for a trip to the LQS that I've been wanting to go check out!

I must say that I used sharpies, but no longer will after reading the comments that were made here on the board. Thank you all. I learn something new every time I get on this board.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
