    Default Pfaff 4.2

I'm sooooooooo excited! I've been looking for a new machine for 2 years and I finally got one! I convinced my hubby to spend over $2000 on a machine cuz I will most likely not need another machine for at least 10 years. I went to my local store and the salesman was pushing me toward the Élan 730 but he couldn't tell me the differences between that and the Janome 7700. He don't even know the Janome 7700 has an 11" harp! Well he kept telling me how wonderful the Élan 7300 is and I'm sure it is... But he didn't even have any on hand for me to try. They were getting more in in about 2 weeks. I just didn't feel comfortable with him (felt like a used car salesman) so I went to my other local machine shop.

Wow am I glad I shopped around! At this local shop the salesman was also the owner and repairman and knows everything about his machines! He was able to demo the pfaff and his daughter told me all about it as he was showing it to me. It was wonderful. I feel like if I have a problem or question he will be there for me. I already had a question and called the shop and he helped me right over the phone! I'm so in love with this machine and the customer service where I got it from! Yayayayayayay!

I am certain you will enjoy your Pfaff. I have a Performance 5 and still learning lots. There is a great youtube video about your machine. Enjoy.

Congrats on a wonderful machine. I'm glad you have a local Pfaff dealer and repairman. I live 100 miles from mine. I have a 4.0 and I would love to have the 4.2. Happy quilting trails to you.

Sounds like you got the machine you needed. Also the customer service - when I am buying something like a machine customer service means as much to me as what the machine does!!!!

Yes I agree! The customer service was wonderful and I've already had to call with questions so I'm glad I went with them. I just love this machine. I don't need leaders or Enders at all. I can start sewing on a point and it sews it beautifully! I don't think I could be happier with any other machine. Yay!

I might be interested in this machine but only if the serpentine stitch is able to be elongated. Most machines default to a 2.2 stitch which is too tight for my needs.

Yippeee! A new machine! Aren't you the lucky puppy! I agree that where you get the machine is as important as the machine itself.

SO VERY HAPPY FOR YOU!!! I too have learned the hard way that the service after the sale (read that to be knowledge about the machine by the dealer, as well as training and general help) is as important, if not more so, than the capabilities of the machine itself!

Please post pictures when you get your new machine home, and keep us posted on your projects with it!

    So happy for you!!!
