Smile Pfaff Embroidery machine - gifted to me

I was gifted a Pfaff embroidery machine - complete with discs and hoops.....and have absolutely no idea how to use it. I will contact a dealer (hopefully there is one in the area) to see if I can set up some lessons. Ever be excited and scared at the same time?

congrats, that is a nice gift, enjoy your new machine. I do recommend classes because there is a lot involved with embroidery, I have been doing it for 6 month and still feel so new to it and unsure of things sometimes.

You can also check with shops that sell Viking, ours had just started selling Pfaff, but they have always let any machine take classes.

Try utube. If you can't find classes, which I'd prefer, sometimes utube has tutorials.

Still neeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrvous about this.....thanks for the info on Viking...they may be able to help. I have granddaughters with the 18 inch dolls, I like making the outfits for them to match - and thought the embroidery would be a great little addition.

Congrats! I'm saving up my $$'s for a quilting machine. What a nice gift! My dealer gives free machine usage classes no matter where you may have purchased or how you received your machine and whether they sell that brand or model or not. Smart - gets new clients in the door and of course when you take a class they show you all the other notions and gadgets you just have to have! And like me, you see something bigger and better and end up trading up. So definitely check with a dealer near you and see if they offer free (or low cost) machine usage classes.
