Default Picture of quilt working on..need border help!

This is a picture of a quilt I am working on..got all the blocks sewn together not having trouble with borders...I know the other side 5 in. border will be a small med.color pink...but I need a 3 inch border between blocks and outside border..this is where I am having trouble...should I use a white to match the block background or a green? Or should I just do the pink and leave of the 3 in. border? Sorry to picture is a little dull and fussy...Thanks for all you help!!

Sashing as shown in your first picture; white border all around; then your pink border......is my vote.

Unless you need it bigger, I like it the way it is sashed in your first picture. I like Jan's suggestion of white and then your pink on the outside border.
