Even after 6 years, I still have problems with sewing the pieces of a block together! LOL

I have all the 25 pieces of a 12" block laying out, ready to sew. 5 rows of 5 pieces. I sit there & look at it and ask myself, 'self, where do I start?'. Do you know what I mean?

How do you start? Left to right, right to left??

With a lot of pieces in a block, I have more luck sewing the pieces from the top to the bottom and sewing the the two halves together from top to bottom instead of across.

When I am doing my rows I do them left to right most of the time . Just like I read, cannot even tell you why I do that

I have done both, R to L and L to R. Normally I take the right side and turn it to lay on the left piece. Start at the top and turn all over in that column & chain piece. Tonight I just couldn't get it for some reason. Probably need to spend more time in the sewing room. LOL

For some reason, I always do it L to R. I don't know why. I tried R to L once and I just couldn't get anything right.

Left to right feels right to me. I don't know why.

Sorry, most of the time I just look at the pile and eventually walk away or look at a quilting book.

I do left to right, top to bottom, just like I read. I find that having an established pattern helps to keep me going the right way. Now if I would just put them back where they belong, instead of mixing them up......
