I was kinda waiting to see if any other chapter or guild did the same things ours does. Our chapter has one day a month for a program of some type. Either technique or learning a type of quilt. If it is done by someone in our chapter, there is no charge. We are just sharing skills and we do have some very experienced quilters. Our state guild has a "Traveling Teacher" program and they charge $10 per person with a minumum of 10 to our chapter. The guild pays the teachers gas and a substance. The guild encourages each chapter to have a visiting teacher once or twice a year. All of our teachers, whether local or state, are very generous and most have supplies that, if we don't have everything called for, we are able to use or buy theirs. Hope this helps.....
