After 2 years of frustration I finally think I may be getting the hang of it. I worked real hard at it today and it is getting a lot easier. I decided to float the top and the batting and it seems to make it work easier. I am one happy woman. Thanks for all your help.

What is floating your top and batting mean?

How do you keep everything together? I would think it would shift something awful.

I've had one for awhile too, and am just starting to use it more. It scares me, and I look at all the lovely quilting on here, and think there is no way in He** I can do that. I guess lots of practice will help. I did one today, just stippling, and it didn't turn out too bad. Stipples a little on the large size, but it will do.

I float mine also, and then Baste the top, sides, and bottom when they are the section to be quilted. This way no shifting.
