I just paid $25.00 postage for 4 kilos of fabric (8.8 pounds). Postage here is pretty expensive for parcels anyway.

A regular stamp is not going up. The second and additional ounces are changing from .17 to .20 each. And the postcard rate is raising a penny to .29 . The flat rate bpoxes are staying the same I believe.

The big change, which will affect some of us who do mail packages or big envelopes, is that first class 1 oz is 44¢ but each ounce after that will be 20¢ instead of the former 17¢. Flat rate boxes will stay the same. Not sure about the media mail, I think that rate is also increasing. I will google and see if there is some more going on that affects those of us who do mail items.

Every time the postage goes up, I need to make up a little chart to post up by my desk. I don't know why the post office website doesn't have an easy to print out chart like this. It seems like it should be something that they would naturally make available. Just so you won't need to go through the trouble of make a chart of your own, I'm posting the one I made here for you to use.

Chart as a "gif" file.

Thank you so much! That is very helpful...I always have to go to usps to look up rates, so this will save more lots of time.
