Has any one made pot holders? I am making table runners for gifts and was thinking of making a matching pot holder. My question is what do you use for the filling. The pattern I saw suggested using double batting but did not say what kind. I know you can use heat proof fabric but don't know if you use any other fill besides or if you can replace the heat proof fabric with pre quilted fabric.
Thanks

Several years ago I made potholders and my LQS had a batting called Thermabatt (I think) it was thema something. I have seen other posts at this site suggest wool batting. Never use polyester as if item is hot enough it can melt the fiber.
