I'm in the middle of making placemats and a table runner and I put insulbrite in mine

You can also use terrycloth towels.

I made some using a double thickness of prequilted fabric, then added binding.

Great question! I've been wondering if two layers of the felted pellon would do the trick on potholders. I've only used it once & don't really know what it's made of. Does anyone know if it would work?

insulbrite - Joanne's fabric has it for 6.99 a yard but I always use a coupon and get it for 50 percent off.
