Question Power Rotary Blade Sharpener

Has anyone purchased or know anything about the Tru Sharp Power Rotary Blade Sharpener?

This seems intriguing but the purchase price is around $60, so I would appreciate any feedback.

(Maybe I just have the need to buy!)

Thanks in advance for your input!

I just bought mine on Amazon last week or so for around $35.00. Walmart also has this sharpener for around $35.00. I am having a bit of trouble getting my blades sharpened but it could be user error. I read the reviews and some found success and others did not get sharp blades.

Right now mine is sitting to the side and I will give it another try to sharpen my blades.

Just bought one and hope to give it a whirl soon! I have a stack of old blades ready for their test drive!

I have this sharpener. Absolutely love it. You have to make sure that you oil the sharpener stones before each use. Remember it has a fine set of stones as well as a course set. Use fine to actually sharpen your blade. The course stones are used if you have small nicks in the blade. I sharpen my blade at least 3 times a week to keep it sharpened. Sometimes more depending on how much I am using the blade. I have had my sharpener for over 2 years and I don't regret purchasing it.

Really noisy while it is grinding, surprised me, and I haven't wanted to use it since.

I had someone who worked in a shop. He sharpened my rotary blades and they didn't last long before they were dull again. So I am skeptical that any small machine can sharpen the blades for household usage.

I don't have one but a friend of mine does (not sure of the brand) and I have used it. I think it worked well. Got new life out of old blades. Check out the sales at Joann's and pick up one with a big discount coupon.

I have one I purchased a few years ago. It works okay, its loud. I save my used blades & then sit down & sharpen them all at the same time, then use those and then throw them away. I figure that by the time I have sharpened them once they probably won't sharpen & work as well the third time around.
