Earlier I asked if anyone had used the True Sharp electric blade sharpener. No one replied and that should have been my clue. I asked for it for my birthday and have not been happy with it at all. It does not sharpen blades to like new condition. I can barely get through half a project with one blade. I tried to return it but time was past due as was on vacation and didn't use it till I got home. I called the company and they even had an engineer call me to be sure I was doing it right and I was. So beware everyone don't buy it Now is someone has had good luck with it let me know.

I don't think that you didn't get any replies with your first post because of people not liking the sharpener, but because things move FAST around here. Probably what happened was you posted, others posted and the first ones to post get pushed to the back, because I'm sure that if someone had seen your post and had tried the sharpener that they possibly would have recommended that you save your money.

no sharpener of any type will return a blade to like-new condition.

this one doesn't make that claim either.

i like my electric sharpener because it's easier and faster than the other models.

it won't appeal to everyone - especially given the price. but i don't regret buying it.

Thanks for the info. At least I know it isn't the way I'm sharpening the blades.
