    i have just finished a wall hanging 24" x 35"...i wonder if i should spray starch and press? i want this to look like a flat picture rather than a 'quilt on the wall'..should i??? thanks for response (s)...

    I would never do that, but I'll wait and see how others respond. I especially wouldn't use spray starch on it.

    I don't really know how you can make it look like a picture since you quilted it, which gives it dimension.
    I definitely wouldn't starch it but I don't have any other ideas, sorry!!!

    Spray starch will give the bugs a chance to eat your quilt--learned that the HARD way!

    I agree, no starch.
    But I *have* pressed a quilt that I wanted to have lie flat against the wall.

    I press everything when I'm finished with it, but I don't press down hard on the iron.
