Unique, one of a kind, focus fabric. I just can't pass up a fabric I have never seen before and might not see again. Gotta have it!

Light colored fabrics... Seems when ever I dig into my stash .. its the light colors that are lacking.

Neutrals or blenders. And if I plan ahead at all, I'll take a quick look at my stash and see if there are any obvious gaps in my colors. For six months or so, I was looking for browns as I was low on them.

My main addiction seems to be neutrals, though. For a while, I didn't seem to have them when I needed them, so started picking them up when I saw ones I liked. Now I'm planning a quilt made of all neutrals. Can't ever get enough!

when I visit a quilt shop far from home I always try to find fabrics that are not available near home- each shop is very different- with different styles/fabrics along with different patterns & books- so I always look for what I've not found before and if I love it- I buy lots.

Pretend and it's far away?? Haha! Solids, especially whites and grays. And silk and wool batting. Since it's pretend, lots and lots.

Florals, 20's and 30's reproductions, novelties and tea-dyed muslin.

Everything anything and everything , love those batiks love the 30's love those bright fabulous it cought my eye prints. But like several of the others I'm always in need of tone on tone and blender fabrics to make it all work. And backing fabrics I'm always running low on that too since I don't like using plain muslin for my backs.

So maybe I was of no help at all since if I were going on a quilting fabrics expedition with a large budget I would drive the biggest car I have and buy some of everything and try to focus on the blenders and tone on tone but I know I would not be able to pass up the other beautiful goodies I found.
