Have sewed forever. Started my first quilt in 1999 at the age of 50. Like the other person said...mine is still in a bag stored in a huge box of fabric.

I will be 62 in October and just started back to regular sewing after 10 years and have my first biscuit/rag quilt almost finished with the sewing. Next step is clipping all of those seams.

I have a lot of other craft hobbies plus a small candle business that I love doing too. But there is something so rewarding in finishing any sewing project and saying WOW I made this.

Have been sewing since before junior high school and in Home Ec in high school. Made most of my own clothes on a tredle machine. Made my wedding dress in sr yr at college and made lots of clothes for family until the 80's when I started traveling on my job. Also have done all kinds of crafts. Didn't get started on quilting until recently at age 70 and, yes, I still travel for my work. Have several quilts & bedspreads my Mom made quilting every stitch by hand. I appreciate them a whole lot more now that I know all that is involved. She didn't start quilting until after I had married and left home so never saw her working on them.

I started quilting 3 years ago when I retired from my job.
I am 68 now. I mostly quilt in the fall/winter/spring.
I did sew when my 3 daughters were young and especially when they took dance classes, I made their costumes.

I am 53 and only started quilting a few years ago.

I'm 71 yrs old. I've been quilting for 8 or 10 years. Retired 3 years ago, so now I can quilt anytime I want, which is a about every day. Just finished a 9 patch top today. I have my grandmother's Singer she bought in 1920, the year my mother was born. I love to sew on it, brings back so many memories. I also have my "new" Singer, a Touch and Sew. Quilting is great and so are all of you good folks. Gary

I am 60 now, but when I started I was 59. Close enough I guess!
