I watched the Aunt Becky Quilting Tool being demonstrated this morning on QuiltTV. Has anyone here used this tool for hand quilting and if so would you recommend this?

That was an interesting video! I would like to try it.

Well I have one :oops: I used it a little at first, but could only really manage when doing straight lines, so if I was quilting around appliqué or a curved line I had to do without it, it's still sitting here in my sewing basket but unless you spend hours just sitting quilting, it's hard to get into the rhythm (for me)

I got Aunt Becky and the hop for Christmas last year. I have played with it and still need more practise but it is fun to learn and the stitches do seem to be evener using it. I learned to put fingers from some disposable gloves on my pointer and thum on my right hand to pull the needle with the gathered stitches.

I had seen the Aunt Becky's tool in a quilt shop but never seen it used. The video was very informational. I am a handquilter for hire and I just might try it. The older I get the harder it is for me to make my stitches small and even. I use a leather thimble on my right hand and a smaller leather thimble on my left thumb. I also qult with both hands. That allows me to go in opposite directions without bending my wrist in such awkard postions. I suffer from carpal tunnel but only really badly on occasion.

I'll let you know how much luck I have after I purchase the needed items.
