Bow tie fan pattern

Hello all, I'm looking for a bow tie fan pattern and I haven't been successful. Any one know where I can purchase a pattern?

I have heard of a fan pattern and bow tie pattern, don't think I have heard of the two together. Some smart person will be able to help you.

? Do you want to make a fan pattern with material from mens ties.

I have never heard of a bow tie fan pattern. There are bow tie patterns and fan patterns. You could mix the two blocks together.

Are you looking for a pattern that has scrappy fan-looking ends with a square in the middle, and it kind of looks like a bowtie? It looked like the thirties patterns. I know I saw something like that here on the board before, and not too long ago in a magazine. Can't remember name, but will look a little later if that is what you are thinking of.

It looks like a fan pattern with a square sewn on the white end to make a triangle (like you would do in a snowball) then just put fan ends opposite each other (the yellow part) and triangle ends (the red part) opposite each other to make the middle. If you look closely at the picture you can see the pattern block, the yellow, the fan, the white, then the red. You can see how they turned them to make the pattern. It would work in any size block. I guess you would just cut part of the block off when you got to the sides. Hope you can understand my explanation, it sounds good in MY head! I want to make the quilt also. It is out of the ordinary.

What a pretty quilt. I can see why you want to make it.
