I would isolate the large bluebell print with a couple near-solid fabrics, so it doesn't get lost. You could place it next to the one on the right, but those other two prints, while they "coordinate" beautifully, just don't have enough contrast. They really blend together too much. So choose a pattern where you can place the low-contrast fabrics apart from each other.

You could use a pattern like this one - where the floral print is showcased:

The large scale print is used in the center and the small scale print at the edges beyond the lattice - and the right hand fabric could be one of the lattice fabrics. Use the other for a border and the flag on the back. Just an idea....

I agree, the flag piece does not go with the rest. One's eye goes straight to it an the eye does't see the other nice prints. Remember, do light to dark. If you really want to see if one piece goes with another, place them fan wise on a copier and look at the copy. The fabric should go light to dark. I would fussy cut a block of the bluebonnet fabric and utilize the others in an Ohio star fashion; i.e. "LoneStar". Good luck. GiGi

Thanks. I hadn't seen the Snowball or the Lattice pattern. I like all of the suggestions. Am actually considering doing a multi pattern - no rule to say all squares have to be the same pattern (watch out for the Quilt Police!).

I love getting creative minds together! Helps get over a slump. Think I am going to splurge (gulp, $9.00 per yard) and get some more of the flag fabric and use it for the backing. I do have some semi-solids that would compliment the flowers and am going to coordinate that, also. Have put together something in my mind from all your suggestions - will see how and if I can pull it together. Thanks, again.
