Danger don't do what i did
Last night I was using my seam ripper to remove some stitches. I laid it down on my sewing table and knocked it off onto my lap. Natural response without thinking I put my knees together to catch it and it caught between my legs. I stabbed the inside of my leg badly. Managed to stop the bleeding finally with my husband's help. I was lucky I didn't get the main artery in my leg. Sure hurt. I won't do that again.

I did the same thing with an extremely sharp, pointed pair of scissors. Still find it hard to stop myself when something drops. Glad you're okay. It was really nauseating to do this......

O.M.G....that sounds almost and bad and when I was trying to seperate some frozen hamburger patties with my large chefs knife......yes it slipped and went right thru my hand with the tip coming out the other side.....I was lucky did not hit anything important and was working for a Doctor at the time.....never did that again.

Oh no - a friend of ours did that in his workshop, dropped something sharp and he caught it between his legs and he had to go to the hospital and have a surgeon to stitch him up.

Keep an eye on the site...you may be overdue for a tetanus shot.
Sorry this happened to you! yucky!! Jan in VA |
i often catch myself thinking of putting something down quick [in the wrong place]. now i take extra time to put it [insert object here] in a safe place. in the long run, preventing accidents is a time saver :)
