I have two pieces of fabric that I realy can't see cutting up and think They can be made in to large blocks to show off the fabric. Do you ever run into this??

Have you ever completed a quilt around one central block and just added borders?

Yes, some fabrics want to stay together! 9 patch pizazz shows how to use some of those wonderful fabrics in larger pieces with other coordinating fabrics. Sometimes I want to use them as back of throws so I can reverse and see the fun stuff!

I have a few pieces of fabric like that. Just can't bring myself to cut it. Just take it out and look at it once in a while.

I bought an angel fabric that just begged me not to cut it. I used it as center and put cut squares 3 rows around it. they set it off so well it looked like I planned it. my daughter in law loved it. So if it is speaking to you, listen to it, and work with it. you will be glad you did.

On my trip to visit my brother in Indiana, I bought a two yard piece of this beautiful fabric, with very large peacock's on it. I want to make a quilt out of it, but I just can't bear to cut into it. So, I too understand how you feel.

"Thimbleberries Tree Farm Throw" and "Thimbleberries Street Scene" are two great patterns that use a large cut of fabric for the center of the quilt and then surround with interesting boarders. I think these are both ideal for showcasing those fabulous prints that I don't want to cut. Nita

Another suggestion: :
"Just Can't Cut It All Washed Up" You can find the pattern on the Fat Quarter Shop link. I don't have that one, but might need to buy one for myself. Nita

I bought a length of fabric that has betty boop on it,to make a quilt for my mom,but I couldn't cut it it would lose the pattern and not make much sense so I left it whole, put a few different width of borders around it and made a "whole cloth "quilt out of it
