Question, is everyone able to sew a 1/4 inch seam, or do you do perhaps 1/2 inch?

Have 1/4 inch foot - works great. Before I got it, I had masking tape to guide me.

I too have a 1/4 inch foot and sew at a scant 1/4 inch. Works well for me.

I also use a 1/4 inch foot. One of the best things ever invented IMHO!

1/4th is my goal. I'm definitely not perfect though.

1/4 is my Aim for.

I used to think I was doing a 1/4"seam, right up until I bought a gadget to measure my seams, from westalee rulers(also bought their guide).Boy was my seam out. Haven't had an issue since I started using this.

I have found 1/2 or 1/4 is fine BUT most if not all patterns are based on 1/4 so when you do 1/2 it turns out smaller. Most important is being consistent. If you start out using 1/2 make sure you do the same thing thru out that quilt. Cindy
